My husband John and I, went to New York City in September 2003 to see the legendary Les Paul. Les and his band were incredible! Les performs two shows every Monday night at the Iridium Jazz Club on 51st and Broadway. After his late show, he always stays to meet fans and sign autographs. I would like to thank Les Paul and his manager, Joseph Horn, for being so gracious when we visited. Les wrote a wonderful foreword for my book, Famous Wisconsin Musicians, plus called into the Joey Reynolds show on WOR 710 am in New York City later that night during my on-air interview, ...at 3:30 am! They’re not kidding when they say New York is the city that never sleeps! See the "Wizard of Waukesha" every Monday night at the Iridium Jazz Club. Order tickets at www.iridiumjazzclub.

In October of 2006, I caught Les Paul's 10pm show at the Iridium. Now ninety-one, you couldn't tell that once he started playing. He was accompanied by some incredible musicians, and invited a few special guests to join him on stage. Cracking jokes in-between songs, Les has the spirit of a teenager. If you're in New York on a Monday night, don't pass up the chance to experience a legend.
